Girl On Kicks x Reebok Daytona DMX
Happy Monday y’all!
It’s time for a quick story: Last summer I went out to Emmy Squared in Williamsburg with friends and set out to meet a mutual friend from Amsterdam and her friend from Berlin for some pizza. Dinner was delicious, conversation was interesting (to say the least) and then we ended up getting dessert at my favorite, Milk Bar. We’ve stayed friends through social and after following her for so long, I’m super proud to call Sanne
Poeze, the girl behind Girl on Kicks, a friend. :)
So when Sanne said she was cooking something up with Reebok during dinner last year, I couldn’t wait for her to finally reveal her collaboration to the rest of the world! Boy did they not disappoint! I was so excited to get my hands on a pair and they are perfect! The details behind this collaboration are what truly make this shoe great — from the handwritten list on the insoles, the mix of textures and shades on the upper, the “It’s a Man’s World” being crossed out on the back tab of the shoe (girls taking over for the ‘99 to the 2000’s), and they’re comfortable.

Soon as NY had relatively nice weather, I wore them out and paired with my favorite purple sherpa hoodie from undefeated, my Levi’s trucker jacket (that I customized myself at the Levi’s Haus in Miami), black cargos and my warm wooly socks from Aerie.
So crazy but before she even gave a sneak peek of her Reebok Daytona DMX, I had been gravitating to the color purple (and mixing textures) for footwear and I love how it’s brought a fun pop to my usual winter wardrobe of neutrals.
