Apartment Transformation - My Living Room
Now, before I start…
…let me just say that this has been a long time coming for me. In the course of five years that I’ve been living in NYC, I’ve lived in almost every borough except Manhattan and Staten Island. Hell, I’ve even lived in New Jersey for a bit. I’ve been in Queens now for more than eight months and while old my roommates have moved out and onto other paths, I’ve finally got a chance to really create a welcoming space for my friends to come and visit and feel…comfortable.
This brings us to decorating while under quarantine! Since I started out with a super clean space (a.k.a no furniture) and got to planning. I wanted a cozy and light living room that felt eclectic and fun and using IG to find some inspiration made it easy. I started off with the basics first, snagged a big comfy couch, a cute rug, and a new tv with some moody LED lighting.
Then I started building from there — I bought a cute little tv stand and lamp from Wayfair, a rattan accent chair and metal coffee table from Ikea and a fresh coat of white paint and voila! WE HAVE A LIVING ROOM! Granted it’s taken FOREVER to really start coming together because shipping delays, but every piece is unique and gives me strong eclectic vibes. Mixing modern with metal and rattan for added textures. This has easily become my favorite space to watch movies and shows with my roommate and best friend that lives downstairs. Truly an ideal space for a cozy girl!
