Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, streetstyle, and creativity through moodboards. Hope you have a nice stay!

Serving Face

I am NO  beauty blogger, by any damn means. My mom has always had to fight long and hard with me about the need to take care of my skin. This year, as I'm closing in on my late twenties, I decided it's now or never (to listen to my mother). Reason why I'm sharing this post just to share how one Cozy Girl went from nonchalant to proactive. To start, I had to get to the root of my breakouts -- I wasn't drinking enough water! This is crucial and honestly probably one of the cardinal rules to having a clear face.

Getting into a regular routine for taking care of my skin has really helped me get my skin even clearer. I have combination skin so making sure it's not too oily or too dry is all in the products. I've tried a few different things over the years, but Shiseido has REALLY nailed it for me.

I use Shiseido's Ibuki Purifying Cleanser at least once a day (usually in the night) or before I decide I'm going to wear some makeup. Then I dab a couple spots of the Ibuki Refined Moisturizer Enriched around the T-zone and the spots that get the most dry for me (chin, cheeks and temples) and work it in. Not too much though, because it is a serious moisturizer and too much makes me feel oily. When I do cleanse my face at night, that's when I use the Ibuki Multisolution Gel to be proactive about any future blemishes and to remove any dark spots. I then use their amazing Ultimune Power-Infusing Concentrate (this is a game changer, y'all) as a final touch to my routine. Not a lot, but enough to cover my whole face. It's purpose? To keep your face protected from the toxins and nasty stuff that creates blemishes in the first place. Like what? Hell yes! SIGN ME UP. It has changed my whole situation and it's great. But for those extra stubborn pimples, I use Mario Badescu's Drying Solution in small dabs in the trouble spots overnight.

If you have combination skin like me, I hope this helps!

XOXO
