...let me start off by saying that I am not by any means someone who advocates for the appropriation of "dad style" sneakers or style for that matter...

This isn't a post about me shaming people for riding the wave either. I get it bro, the chunkier the sneaker, the more comfortable your feet -- who would be mad at that? Dads understand and value the importance of being cozy.

Either way, I gave in to buying the M2K Tekno after seeing them on the John Elliot runway when they first dropped. Left speechless at how finally something chunky caught my attention, I just couldn't resist buying a second pair. The Nike M2K Tekno is a clear page torn out of the Monarch history book by mixing elements of its OG DNA and giving its chunky silhouette a sick update. Did I mention how damn comfortable they are? I recently took these pups out for a day walking and running around the city, and they were like clouds for my feet.

In the spirit of revamping the old with the new I paired my M2K Teknos with my new Nigeria jersey. After they miraculously qualified for the World Cup this year, I was beyond ecstatic to see how the spirit of this young Nigerian team would be captured with the updates to their national team kit. “Naija” represents and means new Nigeria — it captures the hopeful and vibrant city and booming culture that is really taking flight off the pitch and into the music scene (Skepta & Wizkid to name just two). Super proud to have scooped the jersey and the bucket hat for World Cup. Talk about the super Dad fit just in time for Father’s Day too!
