I think I'm always going to love the Nike Cortez.
Any color, any material, the classic nylon or leather, the moire or the '72, my love for the Cortez is everlasting. When I saw we had the Stop Pre (as in the Steve Prefontaine) cortezes in store I was ECSTATIC. They had sold out online and I needed these just as a collectors piece. They are a tribute to the OG Cortez and to the height of Steve Prefontaine's career with the Stop signs on the heel (there used to be "Stop Pre" tees) and it's 1970s-esque designs on the insoles including "Tradition never stops" on the inside of each tongue. Decided to un-DS my pair for this fit because I really wanted to show them off despite how much it hurt my soul walking outside.
What I'm Wearing: Cropped baseball tee, striped baseball jacket, navy pleated midi skirt, ray-ban sunglasses and Nike Cortez.
